James Ashby and Tina Nguyen’s Proposal

We met in middle school 14 years ago. Just before our 7.5 year anniversary, I called the school and reserved the classroom we met and sat next to each other in. On the evening of our anniversary, I had prepared her favorite dish for dinner and rented a movie to watch. We were to have a dinner and movie date, but in the classroom. I prepared a movie/slideshow with pictures of her growing up and pictures of me growing up and pictures of us throughout our relationship, this was my anniverasry gift to her. It had three different songs playing in the background, “Die A Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett, “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran, and our song “Gotta Be Somebody” by Nickelback. Towards the end of the evening, before we were to leave the school, we exchanged gifts. I presented her with the movie I had made. The end of the 2nd verse of the our song says, “Is it that moment when, I find the one that I’ll spend forever with” at that time I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.
