How He Asked
Derek had been planning a fun and silly photo shoot for the two of us for months. I was under the impression he planned the shoot because I made a HUGE deal about how he never smiles in our pictures. The day came and we got all dressed up and headed out to a park to meet the photographer. We only got a few pictures in before it started POURING down rain on us. We tried to take some more pictures while hiding in a bunch of trees, but the photographer convinced us to walk out into the middle of a field and just be silly and dance in the rain. We did! We were soaking wet and laughing the entire time when Derek pulled me close for one last picture, dropped to his knee, and asked me to be his wife!
